Secure Station uses a device's MAC address to validate access to the program. Secure Station requires Java to be installed and is not compatible with Chromebooks, Android OS, or iOS. It works great with laptops and desktops. Safari and Internet Explorer are the only browsers that will support Java. We created IP Registry because Chrome and Firefox do not support Java.
When Secure Station is enabled, an administrator must manage a list of authorized computers. If properly configured – any computer on the denied list will be prevented from accessing the LMS. There is also a really neat authorization screen that will appear for machines that are stuck in purgatory.
You will need to make sure "Manage Secure Student Access" and "Manage Secure Educator Access" permissions have been activated for you to manage Secure Station.
