Editing an Existing Student

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I edit a student's username?

No, usernames cannot be changed.


This section is useful when you need to make a change to a student's account. A couple examples of possible changes are changing a student's grade level or adding a parent's email address for progress reports.

To follow the steps listed below, you will need to have "Edit Students" checked under Student Accounts To validate your permissions, click here. .

Step-by-Step Guide:

  1. Under the Students tab, select Manage Students.

  2. Find the student with the last name filters, dropdowns, or use the magnifying glass icon at the top of each column to filter the list of students.

  1. Select the Update icon Update.png of the group you want to rename.

    If the student's account has already been selected, the name of the student will appear on an orange tab at the top. Click on the student's name and select the part with the student name, user name, and ID.

  2. Make the necessary changes. For more information click here
  3. Click Update Student at the bottom of the page.

  4. A notification shows that the student's account has been edited successfully.
